Demonstration of the horse’s training data in a personal account

The system can also carry out detailed analyses of the horse’s gait, including symmetry and load balancing on each leg, and help to garden and correct any problems that may be causing lameness. In addition, by tracking the horse’s gait over time, the system can help the gardener monitor the horse’s recovery progress and adjust its training accordingly. Overall, the system can be used as a valuable tool for both riders and trainers to improve the health and productivity of their horses.

In addition to the functions mentioned above, the system can also be integrated with other forms of data and analysis, such as veterinary examinations and rugging records, to provide a more complete picture of a horse’s health and behaviour. The system can also be used in other settings such as breeding and research to help improve the overall health and performance of horses.

They can also be used at competitions or shows to help judges and trainers evaluate a horse’s performance and identify any problems that may be observed. Overall, the system can be effective for horse management and horse walking, providing valuable information and helping to improve horse health.

HorseCare is designed for the early detection of gait irregularities that can lead to lameness or other issues. Think of it as a vigilant assistant that continuously monitors your horse’s movement patterns and highlights even the smallest changes. When you open the app after a training session, you’ll see a silhouette of your horse with colored bars for each leg.
− Green bars mean the previous sessions showed no concerning changes.
− Yellow or red bars signal that a specific leg needs closer attention. By noticing these color changes early, you can take preventive action—helping to correct a developing problem or significantly shorten the time your horse might be affected.

The sensor kit learns and adapts to one specific horse, whose gait and movement parameters are processed by a Big Data–based analytical system using information gathered from that same horse over multiple training sessions. The more training sessions are performed with the horse using this sensor kit, the more accurately and faster the system will respond to changes in the horse’s movement and gait, and the better it will detect any deviations. To obtain reliable results, the following condition must be fulfilled: one sensor kit – one horse.

To use HorseCare, attach the leg sensors above the fetlock joint (as described in the instructions) and secure the single back sensor to the saddle pad placed under the saddle. Next, open the mobile app and start the training session. The sensors will flash a green LED to indicate they are active. All sensor data is automatically saved on the phone running the app. When the training ends, wait until all data has been transferred from the sensors to the app. Then, in the “Trainings” section, you can upload the data to the server when a stable internet connection is available.

📊 App Interface

The HorseCare App collects and transmits training data to an intelligent AI analysis system. Artificial intelligence processes this information and transforms it into clear, visual insights — graphs, indicators, and metrics.

This allows you to see how your horse feels, moves, and responds to training, without the need for complex charts or calculations.

app

Displays the horse’s gait condition and key training results at a glance.
A color-coded indicator helps you interpret the horse’s movement:

  • Green — gait is normal;
  • Yellow — minor, non-critical deviations;
  • Red — significant changes, contact your trainer or veterinarian.

More information about the data obtained in the app can be found at the link in the detailed guide.

Training durations

Shows the total duration of training in minutes and the proportional division of the total training time between the three gaits: walk, trot and canter and rest.

training duration

energy expended

Shows the total energy expenditure of the horse during the last training and the proportional division of energy expenditure between the three gaits: walk, trot and canter.

energy expended

power expended

Shows the total power expenditure in the last workout and the proportional division between the three standard gaits: walk, trot and canter.

training distance (meters)

The total distance covered by the horse during training.
